《远星物语》是由德国独立游戏工作室Radical Fish Games开发，在2018年发售的俯视角2D像素动作RPG，讲述神秘失忆少女莉雅在虚拟MMO星球世界CrossWorlds中的冒险。我们认为这款独立游是最好的西方JRPG之一，完美捕捉了日式RPG的精髓：友情，羁绊，拯救…大团圆结局。
流畅有趣的动作系统
简而言之，远星物语就是2D俯视角鬼泣，可以打Combo评级，战斗中随时切换火、冰、电、波，无，一共五种元素，每一种元素都有10多种不同的特技，远程，投射，防御，回避，在游戏整个流程中，可以充分体验不同的玩法。而且，这个游戏可以取消攻击后摇！这个游戏大部分Boss都是机制怪，需要依靠玩家的聪明才智找到破防方法，否则就是刮痧！
充满挑战的解密迷宫
据说游戏作者的智商超过200！尽管很多玩家被超级困难的弹球解密和复杂的迷宫劝退，但是当你靠自己的智慧解开谜题，把所有的箱子推到恰到好处的位置，发射一颗弹球，看到它在迷宫里上蹿下跳完美击中每一处开关，这种感觉，就像憋尿了30个小时后对着马桶清空膀胱那样舒畅。
性格迥异的人物刻画
是的，很多JRPG的主角都是哑巴，莉雅也不例外，游戏通过莉雅简单的几个单词和丰富的表情插图，完全表达了莉雅在不同场合的所有喜怒哀乐情绪！她没有台词，但是表达了所有！有些好莱坞电影真该学学这种人物刻画，不要老是Talk！除了主角之外，所有NPC都得到了相同分量的刻画，这个游戏里，没有哪两个人是相似的！
超前的人工智能议题剧情
剧情探讨AI意识与权力、虚拟现实与人类情感是否可以共存等议题，主角莉亚作为一个人工智能意识复制体，在游戏中寻找自我，并且揭开远星世界的层层真相，最终为所有意识体创立一片世外桃源，剧情叙事紧凑，AI主题即使在2025年，AI大爆发的一年，也不显得过时。
充足的支线任务与二周目
如果不查攻略，这游戏可能要80小时才能通关，有上百个支线，而且都有单独的剧情，还有超多超多的收集要素，武器，植物图鉴，宠物等等。而且游戏二周目可以开启游戏内置金手指，你可以把莉雅变成一刀9999999的逆天神仙，也可以挑战被任何敌人一两下揍死，这个游戏，至少可以玩3遍。
略显无聊的装备系统
游戏里的数值成长比较迷惑，并不是很依赖装备，很多装备需要刷素材，好不容易入手的装备，在不久之后就会被路上新捡到的装备取代。很多装备还附带词条，可以说词条的重要性远远大于数值。当然，很多装备来自于其他游戏或者ACG作品的彩蛋，比如天元突破，全收集也不错。

Smooth and Fun Combat System
In short, CrossCode is a 2D top-down Devil May Cry. You can pull off combos with ratings, freely switch between five elements (Fire, Ice, Shock, Wave, and Neutral) during combat, and each element has more than 10 different arts: ranged, projectile, defense, dodge, etc. Throughout the entire game, you can fully experience wildly different playstyles. Most importantly, the game allows attack-canceling after-swings! Almost every boss is a gimmick boss; you have to use your brain to find the way to break their armor, otherwise you’ll just be scratching them forever.
Extremely Challenging Puzzle Dungeons
Rumor has it the developers have IQs over 200! Although many players have been driven away by the insanely difficult ball-bouncing puzzles and complicated dungeons, when you finally solve a puzzle with your own wisdom, push every crate into the perfect spot, fire a single ball and watch it ricochet around the maze perfectly hitting every switch, that feeling is like holding your pee for 30 hours and finally unleashing everything into the toilet: pure bliss.
Distinct and Vivid Character Portrayal
Yes, like many JRPG protagonists, Lea is mute. Yet through just a few simple words and a rich set of expressive portraits, the game perfectly conveys all of Lea’s joy, anger, sorrow, and happiness in every situation. She has no voice lines, but she expresses everything! Some Hollywood movies should really learn from this kind of character writing instead of endless talking! Besides the protagonist, every single NPC receives the same level of care. In this game, no two characters feel the same!
Ahead-of-Its-Time AI-Themed Story
The plot explores topics such as AI consciousness and power, whether virtual reality and human emotions can coexist, etc. The protagonist Lea, as an artificial intelligence consciousness copy, searches for her identity in the game, uncovers layer after layer of truth about CrossWorlds, and ultimately creates a paradise for all conscious beings. The narrative is tight, and even in 2025, the year of the great AI explosion, these AI themes do not feel outdated at all.
Abundant Side Quests and New Game+
If you don’t look up guides, this game can easily take 80 hours to finish. There are hundreds of side quests, each with its own little story, plus an absurd amount of collectibles: weapons, botanical encyclopedia, pets, and more. The game also has New Game+ that unlocks built-in cheats; you can turn Lea into a god who one-shots everything at 9,999,999 damage, or challenge yourself to die in one or two hits from any enemy. You can easily play this game at least three times.
Somewhat Boring Equipment System
The stat progression is a bit confusing and doesn’t really rely on gear. A lot of equipment requires grinding materials, and the rare piece you finally obtain is quickly replaced by something you pick up on the road soon after. Many items have affixes, and affixes are far more important than base stats. Of course, many pieces of gear are Easter eggs from other games or anime (e.g., Gurren Lagann), so full collection is still pretty fun.
